: Every financial institution that accepts checks for deposit and is presented with checks for payment is subject to the potential of making and receiving breach of warranty claims against another financial institution; most warranty breach claims cannot be resolved through an adjustment platform. Understanding the warranties made when forwarding checks for collection and how to deal with a breach is key to the timely resolution of posting errors. This 60-minute session will review the basic warranties found in Regulation CC and UCC 3&4 that are made by each party in the collection of a check. We will also cover the steps to take to make and respond to claims in order to comply with the appropriate regulations.Event Description

 Dal is a veteran of the banking business and has held senior management positions in commercial banking and the credit union industry. His experience includes bank and branch  operations, fraud and security, training, and education and he has served as BSA Officer. Dal has expertise in compliance, product development and implementation, Check and ACH rules, regulations, and payments risk management. Dal acquired both the National Check Professional (NCP) certification and the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification.
